[{"content":"InfiniKan keeps your boards, lists, to-dos and notes in one place, on every device you use, and keeps working when you are offline.\nEverything is an item A board, the lists on it, the cards in a list and the sub-items inside a card are all the same thing: an item. \"Board\", \"list\" and \"card\" only say how deep an item sits. So anything you can do with a card you can also do with a list or a board: give it tags, settings, attachments, sub-items, a share or a link.\nOpen any item to see what is inside it. There is no limit to how deep you can go.\nWorks offline InfiniKan saves every change on your device first. You can browse, add, edit, move and delete items without a connection, and your changes are sent when you are back online. Only a few things need a connection at the time you use them: downloading attachments, sharing with other people, and features that ask an online service, such as AI.\nWhere to use it Your account works in all of these, and they stay in step:\nIn a web browser at app.infinikan.com. Go to where the link should appear and choose Paste Link. Paste Link Here puts it next to the item you chose; Paste Link Inside puts it inside it. Each has an at Top and at Bottom version. When you drag an item, you can also release it on the Link part of the place you drop it, to leave a link there instead of moving the item.\nWorking with a link Choose What happens Go to Original Opens the original where it lives Cut Link Picks up the link itself, so pasting moves the link and the original stays where it is Cut Original Picks up the original, so pasting moves the original Copy Original Copies the original, so pasting makes a new, separate item Adding a sub-item through a link adds it to the original, so it shows in every place the original appears. Copying a link and pasting it gives you another link to the same original.\nTicking and deleting When you tick a link as done, InfiniKan asks what to mark:\nThis link and the original: both are marked done, each following its own Done settings. The original, and remove this link: the original is marked done where it is, and this link is deleted. Everyone picks a card at the same time, the host reveals the votes, and the team settles on an estimate. Votes are hidden until the reveal, so nobody anchors on the first number said out loud.\nYou can use it on its own — no account, no sign-up — or straight from InfiniKan, where a card's or list's sub-items become the stories to estimate.\nOpening it directly Go to infinikan.com/planning-poker in any modern browser, on a computer, tablet or phone. There is nothing to install and nothing to sign up for.\nBookmark it if you run estimation sessions regularly: the page remembers your name, recent rooms, organisations, projects, custom card decks and role sets on that device.\nRunning a session (host) Create a room. Type a room name (for example Sprint 42) and your name, pick a scoring system and choose Create room (host). Under Organisation \u0026amp; project you can group rooms, which helps when you run sessions for more than one team. Add stories. Under Add stories, type one story per line. Paste a web address after a title (Login page https://…) and it becomes a clickable link. Markdown links ([Login page](https://…)) work too. Invite the team. Choose Invite to copy the room's link and send it to everyone (chat, email, the meeting invite). Vote. Choose Vote beside a story. Everyone sees it under Now estimating and picks a card. The participant list shows who has voted, without showing the votes. Reveal. Choose Reveal votes (or tick Auto-reveal to reveal as soon as everyone eligible has voted). The results show how many people picked each value, who picked what, the average, minimum and maximum, and Consensus when everyone agrees. Agree an estimate. Choose Accept beside the value the team settles on. The estimate is recorded against the story and the progress bar at the top moves on. If the votes are far apart, let the high and low voters explain, then choose Revote. Repeat for each story. Drag stories by their handle to reorder them; use Stop to cancel a vote in progress and × to remove a story.\nCards and roles Cards lets the host switch scoring system, add, remove or reorder card values, and save the result as a named scheme for next time. Roles lets the host give participants roles (for example Scrum Team: Frontend Dev, Backend Dev, QA…). Each participant picks a role under Participants. The host can tag a story with the roles that should estimate it — only people with those roles vote on it. Require a role to vote stops anyone voting until they have picked one. Notes and the session summary The Notes panel has four tabs: My Notes (private to you), Shared Notes (everyone in the room can edit them, and sees each other's cursors), and private and shared notes for the story you have selected.\nCopy summary copies a Markdown summary of the session — participants, stories, agreed estimates, votes and notes — ready to paste into a ticket, wiki or chat. .md and .html download the same summary as a file.\nLeaving and handing over The host's browser runs the room. If you need to leave while others carry on, choose Exit and hand the room over to someone in the list. Close room for everyone ends the session for all.\nIf the host reloads the page by accident, participants wait and reconnect automatically; the stories, estimates and notes come back from the host's browser.\nJoining a session (participant) Open the link the host sent you, type your name and choose Join room. If the host has not opened the room yet you will see Waiting for the host, and you will be let in as soon as they do.\nPick a card when a story is up for estimation. You can change your mind by picking another card until the votes are revealed. Choose Request Host in the participant list if you need to take over running the session.\nUsing it with InfiniKan In InfiniKan, choose Start Planning Poker from the menu of any card, list or board — on the web, iPhone, Android and the desktop app. InfiniKan opens Planning Poker in your browser with:\nthe item's title as the room name, its sub-items as the stories — each one a link back to the item in InfiniKan, so anyone in the session can open the detail, your InfiniKan name as your name, your InfiniKan colour theme and light/dark mode, and the room created for you, ready to invite the team. Stories come from what is on your device, so you can start a session even when InfiniKan is offline (Planning Poker itself needs a connection). When the session ends, use Copy summary and paste it into the InfiniKan item to keep a record of the estimates and the discussion.\nStart Planning Poker is part of the standard InfiniKan plan. If you do not see it, your account may not include it.\nPlanning Poker settings in InfiniKan The settings are in Settings → Planning Poker. You can also set them on any card, list or board through its Settings menu entry: a setting made on an item applies to everything inside it, so you can give each team's board its own organisation, scoring system and roles.\nSetting What it does Default Organisation Organisation name shown in the room blank Project Project name shown in the room blank Room Name Room name to use blank — the item's title Scoring System Modified Fibonacci, Fibonacci, T-Shirt Sizes, Powers of 2 or Sequential (0–10) Modified Fibonacci Your Name The name others see blank — your InfiniKan account name Items to Include Immediate children only, or Leaf items only — every item with no sub-items, at any depth (useful when epics hold the stories) Immediate children Include Share URLs Make each story a link back to its item in InfiniKan On Team Roles No roles, Scrum Team, Development Team, Simple (Dev/Test/Analyst) or Custom No roles Custom Roles Comma-separated role names, used when Team Roles is Custom blank Require Role Selection Participants must pick a role before they can vote Off Auto-create Room Skip the start screen and create the room straight away On Links that set up a room Anyone can build a link that opens Planning Poker with a room ready to go — from a wiki page, a ticket template or another tool. Add any of these to https://infinikan.com/planning-poker/:\nParameter Meaning Example roomName Room name roomName=Sprint%2042 name Your name name=Alice org, project Organisation and project org=Acme\u0026amp;project=API deck Scoring system: modified-fib, fibonacci, tshirt, powers, sequential deck=tshirt stories Stories separated by \\|; Markdown links allowed stories=Login%7CSearch roles A role set (scrum, dev, simple) or your own roles separated by \\| roles=Dev%7CQA roleRequired 1 = a role is needed to vote roleRequired=1 autoCreate 1 = create the room straight away (needs roomName and name) autoCreate=1 theme Colour theme (see below) theme=forest mode system, light or dark mode=dark Encode values as you would any web address (a space is %20, | is %7C). Once the room is open the address bar shows the room's own invite link; the room parameter in it identifies that room.\nColour themes The page uses InfiniKan's colour themes: Standard (the default), Autumn, Forest, Neon, Gris, Green Screen and Mad, each in light and dark. Pick one with the theme menu in the header, and switch between light, dark and your device's setting with the button beside it. Your choice is remembered on that device; a theme or mode in a link (which is how InfiniKan passes yours) takes precedence and is remembered too. Everyone in a room can use a different theme.\nPrivacy and how it works Planning Poker is peer-to-peer. Browsers in a room connect directly to each other over WebRTC; a public PeerJS signalling service is used only to introduce them. Stories, votes and notes travel between the participants' browsers and are kept in the host's browser so a session survives a reload. None of it is stored on InfiniKan's servers, and nothing is shared with InfiniKan when you use the page on its own. See the privacy policy.\nBecause the host's browser runs the room, keep that tab open for the length of the session.\nTroubleshooting Stuck on \"Connecting…\" or \"Waiting for the host\" — check the host has the room open. Some company networks and VPNs block peer-to-peer connections; try another network or a phone's hotspot. \"This room is already open\" — the room is open in another tab or browser. Join it instead, or choose a different room name. Your saved rooms, decks or name are missing — they are remembered per browser and per device. Story links do not open — only web (https://…) and email links are made clickable.
